Homepage Design & Development

Led and executed the frontend development of our highest traffic landing pages. The visibility and time-sensitive nature of our work made it critical for us to be as nimble and flexible as possible, as we were often navigating a near-daily feedback and iteration cycle.

Homepage Performance Improvements

Led and executed frontend work to improve the load performance of both Hims & Hers homepages. This was somewhat of a rogue project, since the work was never officially prioritized or resourced. I was on the homepage team from October 2025 to April 2026 — approximately the last third of the graphs below.

• Built a new universally consumable HomepageImage module that covered responsive image fetching, conditional preloading, lazy loading, and more.
• Discovered and repaired various examples of invisible technical debt - excessive re-rendering of React components, unnecessary composite layers, etc.
• Tracked down and optimized load-related assets. Suggested and advocated for alternatives wherever possible. </aside>
